This is the best one out of the prequel trilogy
ROTS is the best Star Wars movie out of the prequel trilogy in my opinion.
shareROTS is the best Star Wars movie out of the prequel trilogy in my opinion.
shareRevenge of the sith is the worst of the prequels
it has the worst dialogue and acting from the prequels.
the plot is completely predictable, there was NO TRANSFORMATION, all of a sudden he is completely evil and kills 5 years old kids without hesitation, huh?.
dying at child-birth must be COMPLETELY curable in the star wars galaxy, particularly Coruscant.
all of a sudden Obi wan has 110% chance of defeating Anakin just for being 4 meters above of him?
just because Vader is on it for 2 minutes your nostalgia makes you think it is as good as the Original trilogy
The stupid have one thing in common. They alter the facts to fit their views not the other way
He killed all of the sand people in the previous movie, including woman and children. That darkness in him was somewhat established, but it was a little rushed. I think his desire to save Padme allowed him to knowingly (even if subconscious) justify turning to the dark side. It's why Yoda tried so hard to get him to understand that death was natural, because he knew Ani was lead by his emotions. Unfortunately, to really pace this the way it should have been, it would need another movie.
shareUr nitpicking my brother. EIII was great. You forgot about credit fonts at the end of the movie that weren't as blue as the originals.
Which is kind of like saying getting raped from the back is better from the front
shareI used to think Episode III was a very strong prequel movie, and it mostly is, but Anakin's transformation is really stupid.
Calls the Jedi evil, yet proceeds to slaughter children less than 30 minutes after giving Obi-Wan his best wishes.
Sees the evil of the Dark Side first hand with Sidious having ordered the invasion of Naboo ten years earlier, and the Attack of the Droids on Geonosis, not to mention everything in the clone wars, yet still joins it.
The same evil that nearly kills his precious Padme over and over again, yet joins the one who ordered her killed. It's just stupid.
Doesn't seem to realize that Palpatine was playing both sides and orchestrated the entire Republic vs. Droid Clone War. Again, stupid.
20 years between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, what does Darth Vader do? Instead of realizing he is an idiot for slicing off Mace Windu's hands and then joining Palpatine, he continues to do Palpatine's bidding. Why?
Why?
I go with The Phantom Menace. I admit that TPM has some major flaws, too childish in parts, making Anakin a little kid, and of course JAR JAR! But the use of CGI was done better in that movie. They went practical in parts and also the sense of adventure and fun was ever-apparent throughout the movie. ROTS was depressing, but not in a good way, like TESB. All that CGI and how all the Jedis got duped so easily by Palpatine, plus the one-off way Anakin turned to the Dark Side really took away from any believability.
shareThis is my opinion as well. For as bad as TPM is, it is the best of the blighted preqs. It has the best and worst parts of the three. Lil' Annie and Jar Jar are terrible and we had to hear about Midichlorians. However, Qui'Gon, Dueling Fates music, and the Maul fight are the very best things to come out of the preqs. So if I have to watch 2 hrs of garbage then I'll take the one with something good in it. That's TPM. ROTS is loaded with head-shaking moments, an embarrassing arcard-style duel, and rotten script.
shareAppreciate everything you said except "embarrassing arcade-style duel,"...... I think you meant to say a BAD ASS arcade-style duel!
shareI know lots of people who love that RotS duel. I don't get it. They stand in front of each other twirling their sabers, they ride stupid hover droids over lava, and then somehow "high ground" is the secret weakness of a sword fight. The fight has about 15 seconds at the start where it looks great then it descends into fake shit and absurdities. Is that the appeal? Have I been missing the intent all along?
shareAgreed, but thats not saying much.
shareIt's hard to pick any as "best," because they're all so bad, but I think part 3 is the worst of the bunch.
