Where did Palpatine hide his lightsaber?

It looked like it just 'poofed' out of thin air, and into his hands. Did he have the power to hide his saber using the force?

reply

Don't you wish you could get things out of your pockets with the Force, instead of having to reach in there?

โ€œSeventy-seven courses and a regicide, never a wedding like it!

reply

It was obviously up his sleeve, just like with Antonio Banderas in Desperado.

reply

You'd think the Jedi who were around Palpatine for much for the 13 years in Phantom, AOTC, and ROTS, would have sensed a lightsaber hiding on Palpatine's person. Very odd indeed.

reply

He usually kept it in a statue in his office.

reply

In the novel it was in the statue in his office he took it out when he felt the Jedi approaching

reply

That book was brilliant.

reply

Yes it was

The book author ohad the advantage of not having to put Christiansen's and Portman's performances in the book. That's a massive improvement over the movie right there.

I liked both Hayden and Natalie's performances. With the dialogue from the book, they'd have been much better, though.

So everytime the Jedi walked into Palpatine's office for a meeting, he would have his lightsaber with him... You'd think there'd be a less chance of getting caught if he left it in the statue.

Or maybe he had it on him since the Jedi were coming for him...Or is that too reasonable of an explanation

No, just the time he knew Anakin had just told them he was a Sith Lord.

Plenty of places to hide it in that sofa cushion he was wearing

He also hid his Sith robe up his sleeve.

reply

He needed to keep it handy in case of clandestine hologram calls. He couldn't wait it put on after he killed those Jedi, either.๎€ฆ

Of course, whatever is needed for the plot to happen will happen. That's how bad movies work.

reply

He kept it up his... But it cannot be mentioned or the film would lose its PG-13 rating.
