Would Famke Janssen have been a better Serleena? (some spoilers)

I think so, a choice between Famke & Lara Flynn Boyle? Why the hell would they choose Lara, I mean, she's a great actress, but, it didn't seem she fitted in this movie. I think Famke would've, you know that scene where Serleena is at the counter checking into the MIB, and the guy asks her what her job occupation was and she says 'a model, I've been told I got a great future' or something like that and she opens her jacket to show how her breasts look in her bra and Johnny Knoxville faints. Wouldn't that have been a whole lot hotter if Serleena was played by Famke Janssen? What do you guys think? Did you like Lara in here or do you think Famke would've been better?

Clearly Famke....Lara was all wrong for the role. Sure she looked alien, but not hot...Famke would have just made this role fantastic. Instead, she ended up doing I Spy- and man, did she look hot there. They really missed out when they lost Famke (but Famke had to back out due to the death in her family)

Famke would have played a wonderful role in this movie. She can play amazing femme fatales that are creepy, attractive, and deadly. We might have actually felt afraid for MIB and Laura.

The thing is Famke has a few great characters under her belt that would have been very similar performances.

She was great as Xenia, she was great as Ava in Nip/Tuck and the X-Men movies were fun performances too.

I'm really curious how great Famke would have been in the role (especially wish I could see what she looked like during the brief shooting before she quit) but Lara was very exciting and sexy in it.

there were actually rumours that Famke didn't get along with the director and that he sacked her after one day of filming (she had already been fitted for her costume and filmed one day), so the death in the family may have just been a cover story.

She was also cast a couple weeks later in another Columbia Pictures film- I Spy...I guess we'll never know!

I honestly don't know how afraid you'd be of a chick who uses her physical attributes to distract you. I mean the audience knows the actress is hot an human so the fear + all the comedy in the movie won't make her seem scary.

Famke and Lara are now each starring as the witch in film versions of Hansel and Gretel. Famke is the villain in Paramount's $60 million film opposite Jeremy Renner and Lara is starring in some cheapo knock off. I guess we know who won in the end!

I say Famke would have been way times better than Laura was. Famke is great at being a villain and in Goldeneye she stole the show, so I would figure she would have been the same in this. The whole entire character's outfit and design screams Famke's personality, as it looks almost like her wardrobe in Goldeneye. Luckily they fit Laura in the role just fine, she acted the best she could with what she had and she looked the best she has ever looked in basically Famke's makeup and wardrobe. It should have been Famke doing the role though, oh what could have been...

I agree, Lara definitely looked her hottest in this film but the whole look & character seemed perfect for Famke.
