How could the 'light' be... SPOILERS

Correct me if I am wrong, but how could Laura be the "light" if she wasn't born yet? I know it's supposed to be a twist for the viewer, but it makes no sense.

They seem to make a strong implication that "K" & Laurana are the parents. So how could the Zarthans bring "the light" to Earth if she wasn't even born yet? Was the "light" an egg in Laurana's reproductive system? If Laura was a "light", what would happen to Laurana's other "lights" (eggs) if she didn't die? Why wouldn't Serleena know it was her eggs/offspring that were "lights"? She obviously wanted it badly enough, she would have had some knowledge about the physical appearance right?

They make an allusion to the bracelet being the "light" when K starts remembering the past scene... but then the twist is that it was Laura all-along. My head is spinning lol

Anyone else make sense of this?

If you remember, when the Zarthan at the pizza parlor lost his "skin," he was simply light--there was no form underneath. She could have already been created as light and given a human baby's body form later.
