Didn't mind it, but didn't like it either

Look, the movie was ok, but I just found the over-the-top profanity a bit yawnworthy.

I could handle the hard hitting, hard drinking, swearing vampire hunters, but James Wood character always saying 'so did you get wood?' was 'What the?'

He was a total dick IMHO.

That was the whole point. The dood was hilariously quirky, over the top, and one of the most blatant antiheroes I've seen in movies.

I couldn't stop laughing at things he says. Like when he schooled Tim Guinee's character in the truck about what vampires aren't. I was having a screaming fit laughing at that rant and still do every time I hear it.

Someone on here started a thread about Baldwin being a great Jack. I can only see that if I un-see Woods as Jack. Woods was perfect.

I felt underwhelmed when i first saw it. Maybe worth rewatching as i haven't seen it since it was released on HBO many years back. Maybe it gets better with age or maybe I can appreciate it better as i am older now.
