question about the ending....
If Katrina was cured once Valek was defeated, then wasn't Montoya cured as well? I know what this movie was meant to be but that seems like lazy writing. It's not necessary to set up the sequel.

shareKatrina wasn't cured.
shareWell...that answers my question. I hadn't watched it in a while and it didn't hold my attention like it had years ago. I guess I didn't notice Katrina getting in with Montoya. I guess assumed shad full turned since she bit Montoya but she didn't seem like it in the final scene. Thank you for clearing that up for me!
shareValek had to be destroyed before Katrina turned to prevent her from becoming one.
Apparently this extends to all vampires and not just masters since Montoya hadn't turned. I guess killing Katrina would prevent him from turning.
The ending about "I'll let you turn then I'll kill you." was pretty lame.
I'm not trying to be rude, but did you miss the dialogue between Montoya and Crow when Montoya said he was going to "go south?" Crow questions whether Montoya is going to go south, keeping Katrina in the back of the truck out of the sunlight, suggesting she's still a vampire. Also, giving Montoya a 2 day head start, then saying "I will find you, and I will kill you," was obviously Crow letting Montoya know that once he fully turns into a vampire, he is no longer Crow's partner and will be killed just like any goon. I mean... this was all explained pretty directly in the movie.
I know some movies (I think maybe Dracula 2000 was one of them? I can't remember though) involve a plotpoint that if a master is killed, all the children he sired turn back into humans. However, this movie is not one of them. At the very end, Crow and Guiteau start to head back into the jail, saying they "still have a lot of work to do," meaning killing all of the vampires that were able to escape from the sun. Since Valek was the progenitor of all vampires, if the human-reversion plot point existed, the additional hunting wouldn't be necessary as all vampires would have been cured, so we know that the vampires did not regain their mortality.
I have no enemies, but am intensely disliked by my friends.share
