Why ever party at night?
Given all thier rules, shouldn't they party only at dawn unless they are in a fortified location

They just wasted the nest. There shouldn't be any more vampires.
I'm pretty sure they could do what they wanted most nights, particularly after they've cleaned a place up.

In the book they just destroyed a nest.The master vampire that killed the team was late in getting there to beginning with and arrived after they destroyed it.
