Only Star Trek Film without a DVD commentary. Why?

I realize it isn't one of the more highly regarded films of the series. Still, you'd think Frakes would have wanted to do one. Bummer. It does have Michael Okuda's text commentary at least.

No one had anything good to say about the film.

At the time, yes. Revisiting it, they are changing their minds now.

Same thing with Nemesis, which I thought was a great film, my only complaint against Nemesis was the poor CGI house they used for the shots of the E, it looked like a cartoon.

But Nemesis introduced the "Warp Exhaust" effect that is used in the "Reboot" Trek films. If anything, I dig that JJ gathered little details from Trek all the way back to the beginning, and crammed it into both films. The even have Section 31, Deep Space Nine seems to have been totally ignored after it went of air, using Section 31 was finally the acknowledgment DS9 deserved.

Frakes and Marina Sirtis did a commentary track for the 2010 re-release of Star Trek Insurrection on DVD.
