Yeah I've said it multiple times on these boards as well that was one of the most cringeworthy moments in the entire Star Trek history(incl J.J. films) alongs with Data saying yes and making victorious gesture with his fist when they blow up the Klingon warbird in Generations.

It would have been cheese if Picard or pretty much anyone else had said it. Data (while a classic character) is cheese emperor android though, so it really isn't jarring coming from him. Especially after the whole emotion chip thing.

His song about the pretty little lifeforms (PLL) was the cringeworthy moment in Star Trek movie history.
