Lt. Daniels and his well-earned demotion.

There are a number of issues with this movie, but the one that probably irks me the most is the crappy writing when the Son'a begin engaging the Enterprise.

Riker instructs Lt. Daniels to inform the Son'a that they're having some kind of made-up tech-tech-tech trouble, and Daniels says something like, "I don't think they bought it."

Riker asks, "Why is that?"

And that's when Lt. Daniels, the fine Starfleet officer that he is, basically remains silent, says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, while he's full aware that an incoming photon torpedo is heading straight for the ship.

I know they did it for the cutesy dialogue but come on, dude. Your ship is being attacked and not so much as a peep, you just sit there like a stooge waiting for the ship to be nailed. Bleh!
