Plot hole with the radiation
I believe this is a plot hole in the film, perhaps there was an explanation for this, it's stated that it's the concentration of the metaphasic radiation in the rings around the planet that created the whole fountain of youth effect, yet the effect starts when they enter the Briar patch before they reach the planet.
Unless the whole concentration in the rings thing was a lie, this doesn't make sense to me.
