AMC: Too liberal in their use of the word 'Classics'?

I only mention that because Species II is showing on AMC right this moment. I expect this maybe for their Halloween horror-themed week, but any OTHER time of the year? No.

Other recent "classics" have included "Tremors 3" and "Halloween: Resurrection" (part 8)

Sooner or later AMC will eventually have to show foreign films so they can stop showing this crap.

You're kidding, right? Species II is exactly what you want to watch to cheer you up. If you don't consider this a classic comedy, then you obviously need a sense of humor.

If this is a "Classic" then my bowel movements are classic....

Perhaps not your NEW bowel movements. . . .

It appears that in ACM sense classic means either A: Old or B: not popular.

Well as "liberal" as you can be on something that has no factual dimension?

I mean gee, look at books. Years of letting the most snobbish and anti-social of thinkers determine which books are "classics" sure the hell has done wonders for getting kids to like books right?....right?

Of course it hasn't. Snobs love the word "classics" because it gives them a little backrub whenever they want to make others think they are smart for liking something. "ha you like this, I like this it actually means something blah blah dribble dribble".

The sooner we kill off labels that serve no other purpose than dividing things into categories for the laziest of of academics, we'll be off to a better future.
