What's with the cat

I just watched this movie after not having seen it since it was in the theaters. I am a glutton for punishment, so I ended up buying Species 2 and 3 on DVD. I have gripes about Species 2 too numerous to get into. Needless to say, I recall how irked I was initially about the lack of screen time Natasha had. You see Species 2, you want to see Eve go all alien. You only see this at the end. To top it all off, she gets killed too easily and then that's that. Back to the the topic of my post; at the end of the movie, where in the Hell did that cat come from and how in the hell did a Paddy offspring end up in the ambulance? I suppose if I sit through the movie again and listen to the director make sense out of this incoherent mess of a movie, it might help to gleam a little light on this debacle of a movie. Then again, maybe not.

I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already.

Plus you shoud pay close attention to HOW Eve died. It's not Patrick chewing on her arms as a monster, it's him sufficating her with that thing that looks like an alien ding a ling. How embarassing!

Wow, this thread is two years old. Anyway, I'm surprised nobody brought this up. I figure we have to assume military ambulances always carry a cat with them.

Haven't you noticed, there are a lot of feral cats around lately?

this is an old question but i always thought they are attracted to their own i thought he kid was put in there to be taken to wherever eves body was.or he wasn't old enough to be cocooned so he snuck in there in order not to be caught by the team.

I always thought that cat was a nod to one maybe he ate the infected rat and was now infected but that was odd indeed.
