What's up with using a 46 yr old actor to play the boxer?

Both boxers looked pretty "mature". I guess the producers felt that if it were good enough for a mature age Sly Stallone to play a heavy weight champ, it'd be OK for Stan Shaw, who has played professional boxers before.🐭
