How exactly did he know which train to go to? And how would he have gotten into the compartment, let alone know which compartment was David's? Plus, David was practically running to the train and yet Steven somehow got there before him? And are there just random plastic body suits available in NY? I didn't like this part.

Steven answered the call, acting like he was David.
ANd though this isn't shown, it isn't a stretch to imagine what Steven would do, as he was clever.
During the phone call he'd act confused...
"Ok, so what compartment am I in? I'm sorry I forgot"
He was slick enough in that by the time he was done with the ticket agent, he would have known every detail of David's trip.
