Dude i am a big fan of bale, but a fan, nonetheless. Not a fanboy, recommending him to every movie franchise dying out there. Tom Cruise is perfect for Ethan Hunt, and thats wat it is gonna be, coz we are used to seeing him.
Bale - Batman....GREAT, Rejuvinated the dying fanchise.

An what about rumors that Brad Pitt will be heading up MI4 instead of Cruise? Not as Hunt, but as a new agent/head honcho. If Pitt can do it, you can bet your sweet ass (if you're a pretty girl, that is), that Bale can do it too.

Mission Impossible is soo Tom Cruise.
I'd like to see a 4th Mission Impossible film and have Christian Bale as the bad guy. Focus Bale's character like Billy Crudup's character in the third one. Make him a double agent out to betray Ethan Hunt and his wife, who once again should be played by Michelle Monaghan. In this one, we would introduce Ethan Hunt's 5 year old son. Hunt would be looking to take down a British crimelord to keep his family safe, but the crook gets away and comes after his child. Say Vincent Cassel(Derailed, Brotherhood of the Wolf) is the English slave trader who kidnaps and sells Ethan Hunt's little boy to an Asian child slave ring run by Chow Yun-Fat, in a role much more evil than his Sao-Feng character in Pirates 3. Hunt would get back together with Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Simon Pegg, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and they all would band together their expertise to rescue the boy, with Christian Bale still playing both sides. Cruise would wind up killing Cassel, find out Bale is behind the whole thing and go after him. This is where an awesome fight between Bale and Cruise would take place in Hong Kong. Lucy Liu, Zhang Ziyi, or Michelle Yeoh would be a female Chinese cop trying to investigate Chow Yun-Fat's organization and would get involved in the action. I also think it would be cool if they trained Cruise and Bale to fight martial arts style like Fishburne and Reeves did in the Matrix, then Cruise would be able to stylishly fight Bale and Yun-Fat. Tom Cruise is a little old for those kind of moves, but he was no slouch in the end of the 2nd movie. This is just my idea, since the 3rd film was better than i thought it would be. Any thoughts?

I admire an actor like Christian Bale and that makes gay? How the *beep* does that make any sense? Bale can't do every damn franchise lead out there. This is a ridiculous suggestion, especially as he is now in TWO major franchises as the lead which is ALREADY a joke in my book. Batman is John Connor as well, all running at the same time. TDK, T4, then the third batman film and then a second Terminator Salvation film in the planned trilogy. Then MI4???? Oh and on the James Bond boards they want him as James Bond too. That is not even a joke either. They really do. This guy is a good actor, but he is hardly the messiah of movies. It is now just cool to like Bale, like it once was (and sort of still is) to like Depp. At this rate this fanaticism will burn Bale's career out within 4 - 5 years just from pure over exposure.

True, he's not a messiah by any means, he just has that spark that makes people want to see his movies, regardless of how close his characters are. To me, it all started with Newsies and kept my attention with American Psycho, Reign of Fire, Equilibrium, and 3:10 to Yuma. Now, from Batman to Terminator is a big jump, but that doesn't mean he's a joke. Bond, he could do well, but personally, i don't want him to go there, Daniel Craig is doing just fine. Depp is different, this guy can play almost any role you throw in front of him, no matter how old he gets, so liking him then, now, and then in the future won't be THAT difficult. If Bale's career gets burned out in 4, 5, or 10 years, so be it, i'll still remember him as one of my admirable movie icons, even though he's washed out and doesn't really need to be. His acting in the Prestige wasn't as good as Hugh Jackman's, but he did just fine there. He's doing a 1930's gangster movie with Depp and a "Dramaction" movie about drug czar Pablo Escobar, so i don't think his acting is limited to blockbuster franchise sequels, people are just fond of his latest work on TDK, so they're offering him opportunites that he eagerly wants to take for the added fame. Truth is, i haven't really disliked a movie he's done, so for now, i'll like whatever he does as long as he tries. Philip Seymour Hoffman wasn't my first choice for an M:I villain, but he rocked the *beep* in the 3rd one, i could easily see Bale pull something like that off, especially since bad guy roles are something he needs to do more of.
