How was virus supposed to spread ?

I know this movie doesn't have the most logical plot points but one thing I am not clear on at all is that how was virus supposed to spread after they dropped Nyah in downtown Sydney? My understanding is the virus spreads through blood infection, not by touch or air. Also, if they dropped Nyah in downtown, how did she end up by the cliff outside the city, suppose she just drove there to kill herself by jumping off the cliff?

Good question! Due to the brain atrophy I suffered during this movie, I didn't think to ask that question. I doubt anyone involved in the production did, either.

Maybe they were planning to dump her blood in the water supply? Who knows?????

"Due to the brain atrophy I suffered during this movie"

LOL!!! That about sums it up. This movie makes people stupid. It should be banned.

Chimera is supposed to be some kind of super-flu, right? Well, maybe after it's initially put in the bloodstream, it can be transferred the way any other flu virus can. The flu, as we all know, is highly contagious.

Yes. Anyone who comes into contact with Nyah would become infected.

I had trouble with that too. Sometimes it looked highly contagious and sometimes...not at all. For instance, the old professor doesn't seem to have contaminated anybody. And the other one, the one who gets on the plane, didn't seem concerned about the risk of people on this plane catching it.

Another strange thing was the fact the old professor looked so sick while Newton only appeared a little paler than usual even when 'she didn't have much time left'.

Plus, did she really intend thrwing herself in the water ? Wasn't it dangerous for people around who would drink the water, swim in it, eat fishes from it?

And finally, not very convinced by the 20 hours thing. It seems it's the same for anybody regardless aof their metabolism, age, sex...I doubt the old professor and the dashing little thief were in the same state of health.

Liked the movie tho.
