watched it again, never gets any better.
Watching it again,I still think it is not very good, poor director, poor plot and pointless Australian location.
THANDIE NEWTON looked great but all in all a poor film.

Just curious, what do you think makes the director and plot bad? Can you give specifics? I thought the chimera plot was pretty good, creating a virus to sell the cure. And Woo seems to handle action well. I've read people say there are a lot of plot holes but Woo also had to cut the film down from 3.5 hours to 2 hours Even so, I thought it made sense and was easy to follow. I know people complain about the motorcycle tires, but in the scope of the whole movie, that's certainly not a deal breaker. So what don't people like?
shareIf Woo had to cut it from 3.5 to 2 hours... why didn't he just cut out all the damn slow motion shots from 14 different angles?

The "hot" chick is an Aborigine? And the movie is shot in Australia? AUSTRALIA?
WHO CARES ABOUT AUSTRALIA?!
Just wrong- so very wrong.
Never bought the romance. Short Aborigine chicks just don't do it for me. My problem, I guess.
The bad guy had a BAD Scottish accent and sounded more like Paul McCartney- Jesus, can't we get some REAL villains for a change?
Non-stop ridiculous car chases and slow-mo hand-to-hand combat shots in preposterous fights that go on forever...stunningly bad. Awful. Terrible.
The mask thing is wearing thin as well.
Thanks. I feel better now.
Sounds like someone who expects way too much or someone who talks himself into hating movies.
