That scene on the airport

I am czech and the scene where Ethan is on the airport, disguised as a czech guy, and tries to speak czech, cheered me up like nothing in a long time :D I watched it about 10 times and I didn't get a single word he said :)

LOL. Well, I'd always suspected that Ethan didn't really know Czech, and that he was just muttering gibberish to a gullible airline worker. By the way, that scene happened in the third movie, Mission: Impossible III (2006); not in this one.

However, somebody corrected the quote on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317919/quotes?item=qt0413820; according to the correction, Mr. Pavel Sóbotka (= Ethan) says to the airline worker: "Jeste jsem v Cíne nebyl. Je to tam hezký?"

Yeah, sorry, you're right, it's the third one.
Now that I know what he's supposed to say, I can actually hear it in what he says, but that accent is terrible :)

Good to hear confirmation from a native speaker that Ethan at least tried to speak Czech (and that he wasn't just making nonsense stuff up).  Thanks!

Yep, I'm actually Slovenian, not Chech, but due to similarities of both languages (they are both slavic) I could instantly tell that Crusie has a very very american accent at best, and probably doesn't even speak anything understandable by Chech people.
