In one scene simon solved a puzzle upside down. And it was a puzzle of the USA, right? so why should florida be on the right side, if it was upside down?

Because it was backwards, too?

Florida wasn't on the right side, it was on the left as it should be when the puzzle is upsidedown. You may have mistaken the southern part of Texas which appeared to be on the right side with the cropped camera shot.(obviously California in on the right and Texas is more in the middle.)
