Aragorn’s Strider name?

Why does Aragorn go by Strider in this film, even after the other characters learn of his true identity (Sam even refers to him as Strider in the final scene of the movie), but the “Strider” name isn’t mentioned in later films?

Probably because the name was what he was known by locally... And they left that area, crossed some mountains and were in a whole other part of the world.
