I cannot believe the trashing this movie received as it is a choice, Hong Kong film.
Big action sequences,good fights, very eclectic cast too. Rob Schindler and JCVD. Quite a pair. Best of all this is the goofiest and fun Van Damme that I remember. Not the sulking mess he is today. Love the Hong Kong Locations on the eve of the
Chinese handover from Britan. Deserves a reappraisal.
I just finished watching it also, and it had been a while since I last watched it... I really enjoyed it!!
The fights were great and lots of fantastic stunts. I wished the end fights has utilized Van Damme's kicks and karate skills more though. Those last fights ended way too abruptly.
What fights? That's what sucks about this movie. They cut out most of the fights and we're left with stupid green explosions and nothing else. If they had left the fight scenes in, it would have been much better.
