i think a lot like G and many should too

Hes life philosophy of enjoying life is unique. I found myself in the part where he mentions the world and squeezing all the life juice out of it. Im just like that. I get up every morning with a big fat smile on my face because im lucky that i may live for another day. Im optimistic and calm all the time. I never wary, im happy with the smallest things that happen to me. Im never angry or annoyed or bored.
You should try it too... Enjoy your life, you dont need a Tv-sopping-channel-guru to help you see the fun in your lawn. Make those little things make you happy by yourself... You can do it!

I am guessing painkillers. You're hooked on percocet? vicodin? Oxycontin? With the whole, "enjoy life" nonsense you're spouting, and then the, "don't let a TV guy try and make you happy" (like there are a million TV executives out there trying to sell you things), I am guessing that your drug of choice is some narcotic opiate controlled substance.

I don't get your attitude, Erich. First of all, I'm pretty sure what he meant was that there ISN'T someone like G on TV, but it doesn't matter, because we can find that kind of peace if we look hard enough. Why do you have a problem with an "enjoy life" philosophy? There's got to be more to you than just the cynical dickhead side. I don't know; I could be wrong.

reply

Sounds to me more like Erich has had to resort to those pills many times himself, living in his depressed little world as it sounds.

I share this philosophy, too. I have only experienced the slice of "stress" that everyone is talking about when I was at a job where I was bullied (yes, literally bullied--by an adult). I saw other people look up to this guy because he was cynical and angry all the time. I never understood that, but I realized that I was the oddball because I naturally thought about how destructive that mindset can be and have been living my life searching for ways to make other people feel comfortable, because I enjoy the company of comfortable people. If I feel like people around me aren't doing their jobs well, I try to help them find more efrective ways to do whatever they are trying to do instead of offering up harsh criticisms and insults. As a result, I got fired, a real kick in the teeth for someone who responded to aggression peacefully. I think they (the boss and bully) expected me to retaliate, because that was what THEY would have done, plus they saw me as a young guy, so they assumed I would react out of anger.

I see a lot of aggression in the world around me and I find it perplexing. You only get 75 years if you're lucky. I don't want to spend them hating everyone. And the shame is that people are equally perplexed by adults who DON'T throw fits when things don't go their way.

My problem is that I neglect the responsibilities of schoolwork and the like, and so those responsibilities pile up and cause me a great deal of stress -- a sort of paralyzing amount of stress -- that prevents me from doing pretty much anything. I'm also very reluctant to "let go and take the journey" when it comes to -- you know -- rollercoasters or airplanes or just anything like that.

Since this thread started back in 2007, it has come to my attention that the OP died in a terrible, terrible fire last year. He's been dead for quite some time now. Poor guy apparently broke his neck while trying to masturbate with a noose tied around his neck, just like David Carradine, except he also caught on fire at the end and burned alive while struggling for those last precious breaths of air that he may or may not have gotten to enjoy. Nobody ever really took the time to write an obituary for the guy, so I figured I would take that burden on my own shoulders now.

hedin 88 was very optimistic. He got up every morning with a big fat smile on his face because he was lucky that he may have lived for another day. He was optimistic and calm all the time. He never worried, he was happy with the smallest things that happened to him, with the exception of the small fire that started in his oven with the hot pocket, and ended with this hastily written memorial. His favorite fictional character was G from the movie Holy Man, and like G, nobody really knows who he was or considers him funny or memorable in any way. Like G, hedin 88 was an optimistic yet regrettable blemish on Eddie Murphy's career. I'll end this by quoting hedin himself, because he had a good message that needs to be passed on.

"You should try it too... Enjoy your life, you dont need a Tv-sopping-channel-guru to help you see the fun in your lawn. Make those little things make you happy by yourself... You can do it (he's not referencing the act of spelling here)!" - hedin 88, R.I.P.

It's sad that I have to use pastebin, because my posts never fit to this LIMITED forum (IMDb's forum was unlimited, so I could write my posts there fully).

Here's link to my thoughts on this whole 'Enjoying Life' topic:

I wish they would change it to unlimited, just like IMDb was.. I guess the copy can never be as good as the original.
