I hated this movie!

Very overrated. Imdb lists it so high so i expected a lot but after watching it i thought it was so lame and cheesy. the dude ended up being some supernatural prisoner. it was not my cup of tea. but i also really hate tom hanks so that might make me biased a bit on this movie

It is the ultimate magic negro film. So warped in it's political correctness any reasonable person should be repulsed.

tom hanks ruined it for me really. He always does. He and justin long.

I'm not a fan of Hanks the person, but I wouldn't be doing myself justice by clouding my perception of a movie by seeing his characters as Hanks himself. Like him or not, he's one of America's greatest actors. In a short amount of time, I saw him about the same age with almost the same haircut do two movie roles, and I saw two people who were nothing alike: Forrest Gump and Jim Lovell. Amazing.

he just looks so punchable. no wonder his claim to fame was playing a retarded person. that is the ONLY role he ever pulled off. anyone can play a retard but only someone who looks as retarded as tom hanks can truly pull it off
