When I was a little guy, I always imagined the sequel starting with Godzilla's corpse being lifted off the bridge with helicopters (?).

In all seriousness, they either wait for it to decompose partially and then saw it in transportable portions, or just leave it there and quarantine the area. Thing's still radioactive.

Bring in a couple dozen chefs from the Bayou area of Louisiana, and tell them it's a big old alligator. They'll carve Godzilla up and make the biggest batch of jambalaya y'all ever did see.

I'm not sure, but they would have to do it fast. I think a corpse that big would become a biohazard for the city. They would need teams of people cutting up pieces off of it and transporting them away before it turned into a huge mess.
