brilliantly creative, Life merging into art merging into life
I just finished watching this film and I can barely catch my breath. It is so brilliantly creative. Lush and beautiful. Sad and ugly. The life merging into art merging into life.
I saw it once before but now everything came together. The art, the pain, the music, the love, the sex, the politics.
Who is responsible for the incredible scenes in the film with the artwork. The scenes where you see the live actress seem to merge into the painting or vice versa. Was that the director's vision? Cinematographer? Someone else? A team of creative people? I need to see more films from them. Are there any articles or books that I should read about how it was made, and the significance of certain paintings?
