shareThat's one of the things I wish they'd explained it better in the movie, he recognized her because she used to go to the auditorium and steal his lunch, to catch his attention. Another thing I wish they'd taken the time to show was that the day of her accident she'd forgotten her umbrella on the bench and went back for it, causing her to take the next bus. The golden paint part was right and when she was found she was covered in it which gave her the nickname of The Golden Bride (La Novia De Oro)
