i totally absolutely 100% agree with that statement. i have been to france many times for business including paris and it is totally unlike what everyone believes it to be. the culture is entirely unromantic. in fact french men need a big wake up call in lessons of treating a woman like a lady. the pollution is so heavy in some parts of france that it hardly makes it a place suitable for romance to flourish! even the eiffel tower, the landmark that supposedly depicts love and romance is a structure much to be reconsidered in respect as one would witness the filth and decay crawling around in its vicinity. definitely a much farther cry from all the post-card pictures we all see at gift shops. the racism there leave much to be desired as i have come across non-french people such as asians and non-french speaking people receive the worst treatment in the service line. no wonder everywhere a french person goes, he offends the people around him albeit his own.

oh by the way, u might notice that i did not put a capital 'F' to the word 'french' and to any of their variations. that is certainly not a typo error =)

Not capitalising French may not have been a typo but spelling bores as 'boars' certainly is.

Also generalising a race of people as racists is stupidity beyond belief. Get a grip.

'Boars' as in the plural for the uncastrated male swine. Ever come across these animals before or at least heard and seen them on tv? they run wild and breed wild and have huge tusks unlike the porkers that roll in the mud and get fattened for the kill to fill our plates.

to mistake the word 'Boar' as a mis-spelling for 'Bore' IS stupidity beyond belief.

Having not seen the film in question it was a fairly easy mistake to make especially when dealing with someone who consistently fails to use capitals.

Oh and thanks for glossing over the inherent racism of your original post.

No problem Sarkozy. i always try to rule with affirmation to hammer home my points for the slower ones.

oh and please go watch the film before u make any comments or even attempt to debate with the original poster of his so-called typo errors even after he/she has clearly stated it was not a coincidence =)

Slower ones? It's always nice to converse with someone on the internet who uses big words and then resorts to calling people stupid. It just never happens; so very rare. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to have stumbled across one such person and with a brief look at your post history it seems to be a particular habit of yours. Some people might label it arrogance but I feel privileged to find someone on here with a clearly superior intellect.

Albeit someone blind enough to tar an entire nation with various stereotypical slurs including calling them racists and not get the irony.

I have visited France (incredibly beautiful country by the way, I visited most of it) and people were extremely nice with me, so I can say for sure that what you are saying is rubbish.

In fact, some of my best friends are french and they were kind enough to give me the tour everywhere during my visit and I didn`t have to pay for hotels thanks to that.

French people however, are quite proud of their heritage and culture, for example, if you make an effort to speak their language, they will be appreciative of it and will be nice and try to help you if you need it, but if you approach them speaking to them in english assuming that they should speak that language even if you are in their country, it is very likely that they will ignore you and might even be rude.

In my own personal experience, americans have a very strong tendency to do that, which is why many of them experience a harsh side from french people.

As for the cities and culture, they have a very rich culture and beautiful cities, Paris is probably the most beautiful city I have ever visited in my life, and I have had my share of international visits.

I do not believe you understand the french culture at all.

If a person does not understand French or speak it well, why not speak English back if you are fluent in it. But you are right, many Americans go to France and other countries with major rude attitudes.

It is not BOAR...it is not BORE...it is BOOR. If you are going to start a thread on a subject the least you could do is spell it correctly and use the word properly.

I would look at this comment very favorably if the quote at the bottom of it would not make me cringe. Be so kind to research quote origins better and avoid typos with something so important to you that it follows your words with every post. Or just leave out the person you quoted from.
