Scene At The End
The scene at the end when Aggie and Rose left is the only time I have ever cried watchimg a film. It was so poignant.
shareI know what you mean -- it really takes you by surprise. And then, to make it worse, as a result of their sudden departure the tough "gander" sister is, in the narrator's lines, "inconsolable, inconsolable." The scene with Meryl Streep crying into the pillow is where I went from sad to actually crying! And I hadn't been THAT engaged in the whole movie up to that point. I liked it, but wasn't really lost in it, until then.
