That had to do with a rather unnecessary subplot, where Vaughn was that woman's attorney, and she was suing the owner of a diner that she ran her car into. She figured that, since she ran her car into the diner because her husband was cheating on her with a waitress that worked there, the owner of the diner should pay her money (!!) because it was his employee that cheated with her husband.
Yeah...it didn't really make alot of sense. And why was Vaughn angry? I guess because the fact that she was also cheating on her husband makes her case unwinable? Maybe? I don't know.
Like I said, it was a stupid, unnecessary subplot.

the reason he was mad was because he got pulled off a better case and given this unwinable case and the partner was sleeping with the client the whole time which is why they were even handling the case to begin with so he could keep getting sex. if he dropped the case, she might drop him but he didn't want to waste his time on it so he passed it off to vince.
