it is sad though even with all going on in the world as 30 years of animation history is melted to a puddle also one of the rules on claymation of that the modelers leave there finger prints on the model as a sort of signature now since these model took years to build for the animator to see something he put there soul into, gone is very sad

bugger off you sh*t they can be remade again just like that. as said on HIGNFY with all thats going around in teh world atm with 20,000 dead your worried about clay models who can be made easy again.
sharei do appriciate what there are thousands of people dead which is why i've given to charity for it but i'm also an nick park fan and i think it's sad that the warehouse burned down, i'm also very happy that no one was killed in the fire but for the animatrors themselves that on the eve of there biggest success all the history that defined the company has been dystroyed, yes they are just models and they will be rebuilt but it marrs the victory of there success

I think the fire was really sad. i live in bristol where all the aardman stuff was done, and people said they could see the smoke from the fire from our sixth form, common room!! and people had ash on their cars, and we were a few miles away from it!!!!!!!!
When was the last time you heard these exact words: "You are the sunshine of my life"?
Yes, we know, but for someone who is an Aardman fan, it's just more bad news. And yes, the models can be made again, but it won't be the same - the originals would have still been burnt.
Asia earthquakes are more important, but as this is the Chicken Run board, the topic talked about here would be the Aardman fire.
Gondor has no pants, Gondor needs no pants!
I actually heard that Nick Park keeps the original Wallace and Gromit in a metal box at his house, so the original Wallace and Gromit are ok.
shareI get the train into Bristol station every morning on my way to work. The warehouse was next to the station, and it was still smoking and stinking 2 days after the fire...
The newspapers said that the clay models don't really keep, but it is a pity they lost the storyboards and some history. But as Nick Park said, it isn't the worst thing going on in the world...
then again, I'd be devestated if I lost any of my 'creations'.
