Question about Pie Machine mini Spoilers

We all know how Rocky escaped from the pie machine in the very start by holding onto a pipe and escaping the round spinning sharp things...

but how does Ginger end up being safe?

Two answers come to my mind:

1) Rocky was shunted towards the wrong side (vegetables / meat) and the vegetables were supposed to be spliced...

2) Ginger also did some heroic and escaped being minced...

off course the 2nd option looks good, but i doubt that's what the filmmakers had in mind...

anyways, maybe a small plot-hole also...

anybody else notice this?

Taking Ginger's character into account, I'm most likely to agree with scenario 2.

Yes I had noticed this. I think Option 1 is the "correct one", but if not, a mistake by the makers who hoped no-one would notice.
