Band of Brothers
Has anyone read 'Band of Brothers'? Ambrose (infamous for his disparaging tone for the UK, although I wasn't offended) says that the British were quick to tell the visiting Yanks were "over-paid, over-sexed, and over here!" Just like Fowler complains! Apparently, the retort is that the British were "under-paid, under-sexed, and under Eisenhower!"
