1. What was the significance of Dr. Lester's believed speech impediment and Floris' misunderstanding Craig's speech?
Dr. Lester might have been convinced that the problem really was with him, and not Floris. Or he was just being nice to her. Floris probably has a severe Auditory Processing Disorder or something similar and is in complete denial about it. She mishears and misinterprets almost everything. The only thing she understood was that Schwarz had an interview with Lester. Even then, she misheard his name as Juarez, not Schwarz.
2. How did Craig manage to become Emily at the end?
Lester and his friends entered Malkovich after he becomes ripe. Problem is that when Schwarz re-entered the portal, it had been switched to Emily, who wasn't ripe. Craig has to live inside Emily at least as long as she lives, without being able to control anything. This was explained by Lester.
3. If all of those elderly people went inside John Malkovich at the end, did their minds conform into one, or would they have to go on making decisions together and controlling his body together?
A very difficult question to answer because it's left vague. I suppose in order for them to get along, they might mix into one highly complex person. There may also be a hierarchy, Lester making the final call. I don't know.
