I just watched "Cold Souls" with Paul Giamatti. it's essentially the same movie about soul trafficking. it even has that Charlie Kaufman directing. but of course Being John Malcovich beats all

This would be a strange movie to remake. It wouldnt have any strong name recognition draw like a lot of other remakes go for.

Rumor has it that it will be directed by J.J. Ambrams and they are going to get Queen Latifah to play John Malkovich. Apparently the original was too sexist and misogynistic to not be remade.
