Any tips of any other really good dark comedies?

I personally am a fan of dark comedy and would like a few movie tips, since it's apparently MUCH easier to find in tv-series than movies for some reason...

if you haven't watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or any other film by Michel Gondry, especially The Science of Sleep, I would highly recommend them based on your appreciation for this film. Eternal Sunshine even shares something besides dark comedy with BJM, the title comes from a poem by Alexander Pope based on the same story depicted in Craig's puppet show in the beginning of the film (Eloise and Abelard).

Or watch the Royal Tenenbaums.

I've seen Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and it was really great! Be Kind Rewind is a movie I've seen from him too, but it's not really a dark comedy, is it?
Thanks for the other tips though!

Have you seen Adaption? It is another Charlie Kaufman film. Like Being John Malkovich I think the ending is a little weak but other than that it is a great film. Synecdoche, New York wasn't as good as his earlier work.

A google search gave this list:
10. Inglourious Basterds - Great
9. American Psycho - Never seen it.
8. Fight Club - First half is great, second half is dumb.
7. Little Miss Sunshine - Never seen it.
6. American Beauty - okay, not as great as some think.
5. Heathers - Good.
4. Kind Hearts and Coronets - Old movie (1949)
3. In Bruges - Never seen it.
2. Fargo - Great
1. Dr. Strangelove - Great.

I would add Pulp Fiction, The Big Labowski, Boondock Saints, and Raising Arizona although I am not sure if any qualifies as a "dark" comedy.

And The Weather Man

I definitely think Pulp Fiction is a dark comedy. ;)

I'm never sure how dark a dark comedy needs to be. Or how funny it can be for that matter.

If you want to see what I myself classify as "dark comedy", you can check out my list if you want to. :)

Some of my favourite dark comedies, besides BJM:

Fargo (a timeless classic)
Brazil (the visuals and set designs are characters in themselves)
American Beauty (corny in places, and not as edgy as it's supposed to be)
Happiness (do not watch it with your parents or kids)
Delicatessen (similar to Brazil, it's a visual masterpiece as well as a solid script)
The Bothersome Man (Den Brysomme Mannen - a surreal Norwegian film, highly recommended)
Wild at Heart (probably the closest thing David Lynch has made to a comedy)

"American Beuty" is good, but I wouldn't call it a dark comedy exactly.

In Bruges is a pretty good dark comedy

There is some darkness and ironic comedy in Ricky Gerais' "The Invention of Lying."
Even better: "Lars and the Real Girl" with Ryan Gosling.
And saving the best for last: Peter Sellers last movie "Being There."

Here are some favorites from my collection. I would say they are either dark comedies or contain a lot of dark comedy, but in many cases their principle genre may be something else (satire, thriller, social comment, or whatever).

The amount of "dark" varies from gentle, even affectionate, fun to savage, and the amount of comedy varies from laugh-out-loud to an ironic curl of the lips.
