Sutherland ruined it

Not just the fake accent and teeth-gritting but the character itself -- totally non-credible.

Good monsters, some interesting effects, JLC even gets to scream a little...not as bad as I thought it would be, but honestly they should have mutinied that crazy mofo as soon as they stepped abord that ship.

Sutherland seemed to be the only one of the cast treating the film as it was - a tongue-in-cheek romp.

It was the ones playing it serious that cracked me up.

It was so obvious Sutherland would become a spare part. When he saw the body part with no head,at that moment his head should have been cut-off.Instead he runs off at the mouth while the film jumps to another scene then much later this robot shows up with him attached and talking normal for 2 mins then boom he's blown-up.Dull moment wasn't exciting at all.

the whole movie was silly, but he was the worst part for me. That awful accent and completely one-note (greedy) character made him just one more minor obstacle, and unfortunately it wasn't even that satisfying when he was finally gone.

i dont think he was greedy, just desperate. if he was greedy he wouldnt have offered the others 10% when it looked like it was gonna be plain sailing
