What's U-Turn? Who U-Turned?

I don't think Bobby was goin' back(makin' a U-Turn)
How is the title related to the story?

I shot the sheriff and the goddamn deputy

And at the end they show another sign--No U Turn. So the symbolism of the name and the U Turn signs should be pretty clear.

I'd color it that way. Of course, compare "U Turn" to "11:14" and you get the theme of these made-for-cable-tv-obsessives films.

Of course, these films pale compared to "Troll 2".

I think U-turn would also refer to the fact that the main guy is not going anywhere. Hes pretty much stuck in that town and rather than working on moving forward, he seems to just be containing and fixing the situations he gets himself into...just like doing a U turn. When you do a Uturn you fixing the fact that you make a mistake while driving and you went to far or got lost type thing...so rather than progressing your just fixing yourself.
