Billy Bob Thorton's character listens to Ween

Anyone else find this funny. The song fit the scene really well because it's from Ween's country album, but I find it funny that his character found the time to drive to the nearest record store, probably 50 miles away , buy the newest Ween album and ended up liking it so much he has a sense of pride about it when Penn turns it off. I wonder what his favorite Ween album was and if he was eagerly awaiting the release of "The Mollusk".

The song fits his attitude really well. I think that is why Stone used it. I doubt that his character would like any other Ween album unfortunately :P

How do you know it wasnt jsut on the radio? Maybe he didn't drive 50 miles to the nearest record store to buy the album

Really it was just a film maker trying to reveal things about the character's personality. He doesn't need to literally listen to Ween for us to get the idea that he likes country and apparently doesn't respect women.

I was happy to hear a Ween song in a movie, much less that song.

Thought it fit well in the scene too.

I don't think it made it on the soundtrack CD though.

Ween is on the Spongebob soundtrack and the chef aid soundtrack. What's interesting to me is that so many u turn fans are also ween fans. I've been a longtime stone/ween fan myself.

Is the song on Spongebob the loop-de-loop song?

VooDoo Lady was in the movie Road Trip too, but I don't know about the soundtrack.

What about Gene and Dean making a cameo in It's Pat?

reply

Ocean man was on sponge bob. Homo rainbow was on chef aid. I don't remember what song they performed on it's pat.
