It could have been better if...

...they had cast Mickey Rourke in Bobby's role. Sean seemed "lost" throughout the movie and for sure he wasn't in his league of characters. I was re-watching this yesterday and i pictured Rourke on the lead role, it was perfect for him. Other thing i didn't like about Sean's is that he portrayed Bobby too much of a sissy... in some scenes he was a coward and in others he was like a tough guy... The supporting cast is brilliant, from Nick Nolte to Powers Boothe, Claire Danes and the amazing Joaquin Phoenix (the best actor of this generation) the movie it have been better with a best casting choice for the leading character. Other main problem is the screenplay and the direction that become lazy and weak near the end of the movie... something had happened, looked like Stone lost his interest doin'the movie. Overall, it's a nice flick, i give it 7/10, besides it's too similar to John Dahl's Red Rock West, U-Turn have his own charisma (once again thanks to Phoenix,Billy Bob Thorton and Powers Boothe performances).
