pHoenix (TNT)came as if were Johnny Cash

wHAT THE HELL, I was watching this beautiful movie and as i heard JoHnny Cashes music i started to enjoy as i usually do when it is playing in a film, but then i started to think of WALK THE LINE, THEN I thought of Wakeeen Phoenix and gueSs who then poPped up to surprise me, the man himself... it was really weird how TNT would appear everytime a JOHNNY CASH song would come on, I was like what the hell , ithought this was like some weird coincidence, butt then later into the movie when i totally forgot about his character , i heard another Johnny Cash song, so i joked around and said watch Phoenix come out of nowhere,... and to my surprise there he was again to kick SEan Penns asss.
SOOO...Anyone when else find that weird and funny... I sure as heck did...

Who's Wakeen Phoenix? Just curious...

"...I don't want to let you go, and I don't want to lose you slowly..."

reply

It was "Wakeeen" with 3 Es. Get it right, jeesh!

reply

Ha, whoops...my bad.

"...I don't want to let you go, and I don't want to lose you slowly..."

reply

haha. it was pretty cool actually. Funnier now since he played the man himself. and this character was a blown up Cash like impression and to hear the songs in the backgrouns really made the scene.

reply

YES!!! I just watched the movie for the first time, and went crazy when I heard "Ring of Fire" playing when TNT showed up. This was quite something: who could tell that ten years later the same actor was going to play Jonnhy Cash caracter? What a weird coincidence.

reply

It just occurred to me that it probably goes without saying that someone can use the word "coincidence" without preceding it with the term "weird." In other words, it's probably enough just to say, "That was a coincidence." It's probably implied that coincidences are something that are naturally unexpected and the the term "weird" would be unneeded as a result. I know. We're not here for a lesson in English or grammar, but it was just an thought that I had. I would be interested in what others might have to say. Do we need to say, "That was a weird coincidence," or is is just enough to say, "That was a coincidence?"

What do you think? Keep in mind that I am not being critical of anybody and I am sure that I have used the two terms together in the past.

I believe it was Powers Boothe who had the Ring of Fire music que. The song starts just as Sheriff Potter walks into the diner. The second time is when he pulls over the Russian and finds a gun in the car.

I think the added descriptor reflects how the person viewed the coincidence.

A coincidence can be weird, funny, opportune, etc, depending how it's seen by the interpreter.
