Tries way too hard to be more than what it is


If it takes a genius to make a really bad movie, Oliver Stone is a mastermind.

From the over-the-top acting (Jon Voight spews pseudo philosophical dialogue in the same, horrible accent he used in 'Anaconda'), to the endlessly meandering storyline that can't seem to pick which plot to follow through with, this movie has a style that relies on halfassedly ripping off the visual styles of Malick & Gilliam.

Oh, and making plot inconveniences overly convenient isn't that cool. Actually it's pretty annoying and lazy
