Did you really think so? I thought the end, where Avery owed money and Max saved him then set up the plot and all that was tricky, but i didn't think it was too bad. Let me know what you found really confusing, we'll see if we can clear it up.
shareAHHH! this movie was also the most confusing ive ever seen! i dont get the ending at all!
shareAvery gets into a gambling debt, and the two low-rent goons are sent to make sure he pays. Max sees this as an opportunity to get his buddy out of trouble, and to make a ton of cash for himself. He goes to the goons, tells them that their job (now listen carefully) is to pretend to have kidnapped the girl. They will get the money, a portion of which Max and girlfriend will keep, a portion of which the goons keep. They never actually kidnapped the girl.
Too bad they messed with Mr. Bartolucci. Instead of sending them the money, he goes to their apartment looking for the girl. Bartolucci still doesn't know that they haven't kidnapped her. They shoot both men, then realize that the girl isn't there. Max and girlfriend are now in deep. Bartolucci and his personal hitman find Max and girl, and shoot them both for screwing him over, chopping his finger off, and attempting to steal his money.
Hope this helps.
