Before the inevitable bullets to the head what is the final thing that is said? It is something along the lines of: "You were right about her..." but there is something regarding Max's friends? Could anyone enlighten me?
Was it: "You were right about her. Never lie to your friends?" If so then this imlies one of two things:
1) The mafioso regards a betrayal of friendship to be a great sin worthy of punishment by death. 2) His friends maybe gave information as to the likely whereabouts of the two at the end.
Yes but what was the question that walken asked the girl? Her response was "yes". So just before walken's last line and then they both get shot, so what was the question?
The Last line of the film I believe was (walkens) "Elise look at me this was all your idea right" (elise)"Yes" (Walkens) "Max you were right about her but you should never lie to your friends".
I heard, "I was right about her," pause, "Never lie to your friends".
I assumed that Charlie was upset at being lied to - Max let Avery take the blame, saying the girl had been kidnapped when she hadn't and basically causing Lono to kill the two "kidnappers" when they hadn't kidnapped her - and that's what the 'Never lie to your friends' bit was about.
Walken's line is "you were right about her". He was referencing Max's earlier comments about how Elise could look at you and make your heart stop beating and blah blah blah, to which Walken had originally responded that all women do that.
