Bargain Bin

Anyone have any idea why this movie is constantly sitting in the bargain bin at Walmart and places like that? It kind of breaks my heart to see it sitting next to crap like Freddy Got Fingered. I did pick it up for only $5 on DVD, though. So I guess I shouldn't b_tch too loudly.

That bin is strange, though. I once found Children of a Lesser God in there. Plus I picked up a 2 DVD set of Road to Bali and Road To Rio for only $5. Weird, huh?

If you like everything from Boondock Saints ( awesome) to Freddy Got Fingered ( one of worst ever ) what don't you like?

Boondock Saints ( awesome)

If you think that film is "awesome" I have to wonder if you have ever seen a really good film. I will agree that it is entertaining and I enjoyed most of it, but it is not a masterpiece and belongs in the bargain bin with FGF and this film.

People often confuse entertaining with amazing, and "awesome" is the most overused/misused word. The only times I was in awe during Boondock Saints was when Rosco shoots the cat and later when he yells at his girlfriend. Super Troopers is another highly entertaining film I enjoy that belongs in the bargain bin as well.

Just be pleased with the great deals.

Some of those cheap dvd's and cd's might be counterfeits from places like Korea or China. They will rip off anything if they can make even fifty cents from it. Take a good look at the artwork and printing and see if it matches the originals.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Here in LA you can just walk down the street and find hundreds of bootleg DVDs for sale by street vendors. I don't think they bother selling them in stores around here.

I know what you mean.

I've found that alot of the best flicks often wind up there while the turds remain on the shelves. I got "Suicide Kings" in the bargain bin as well. Along with "Kenny & Co.", "The Bad News Bears", and "Bullitt".

Go figure.
