I still think the best (and by best I mean stupid) line in the movie is by Carmen (go figure) After the ill fate battle of Klendathu she goes to read the casualty board and say "that's odd there are hardly any wounded" all the time surrounded by hundreds of wounded troopers screaming in pain with limbs ripped off. How did she pass the pilots test with that kind of eye sight? :)

She was looking at the official casualty lists posted. And indeed most of them on those are KIA, in the tens, even hundreds of thousands. The wounded in the hall are a relative handful and are a tiny minority probably lucky to be back from Klendathu at all, even wounded.
