can someone catch me up on the flick?
I know this film is old by comparing it to present day but i haven't seen it till tonight. I turned on the tv not too long ago and saw some of it. I started where 'samuel L. Jackson' had apparently just woken up and was fine and was stuffing himself full of food.
I guess its like a scary movie like horizon but more specifically about a film inregards to a alien technology that they named 'The sphere'
and it turns anything they think of or dreamed of into reality. My thoughts on what i saw:
* why did samuel wake up so easily after being dosed?
* whats with this empty feeling of watching this movie like I just saw jodie foster in 'contact'
* Plus I hate the old concept of man is so primitive and stupid or more so of the notion of this is too much power for mankind rubbish, its always pawned off in movies and you also see it in kids shows or even anime like 'naruto'
Why can't they keep the gift to help mankind? too much power?? so is nuclear weapons, if man is so ignorant kill everyone then. I hate this hippy rubbish that is always force-fed to people. Now if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't even know it was orignially a book, however I don't care if the book was, or was not better, this movie still was weak.
* Also I don't get the sphere, did it create something that SEEMED real, real enough for the human brain and anyone there to engage in the experience or did it REALLY manifest into physical and tangible objects that were permanent??
if it really WAS happening why were they trapped in an illusion when in a minisub at the end? why weren't they really physically sent back in the ship?
why can't they just think of the crew and bring THEM and the original members back alive?? how did one of the original members outside of the ship die? yes its blunt force trauma, but was it due to something falling on them? or did her crew just picture her getting crushed to death?
if so then why did this new batch of crew kill each other off in a more creative way?? for crying out loud one was physically cut in two by a door, which I don't even understand how the "F" did that happen..what a retard.
p.s dustin hoffman screams like a b*tch
