I was wondering....what killed Fletcher? All they find of her of a shoe and some bloodstains, which is presumably from her.

I dont see how the Squid could've done it.

Any thoeries?

Barnes's off-screen death kind of bugged me too, but at least that is presumed to have been from the squid.

Squids have a water jet system for propulsion, so it's possible the giant squid sucked her into its "engine" and squeezed her through it.

He was talking about the book, not the movie. In the book, Edmunds was the one killed by the jellyfish.
