"I know what the Zen masters would say. This ball wants to be caught!" -Beth

"Jerry? Jerry, use your words!"
"It's not that different from a child, right? A child imagines that what it's imagining happens. But it doesn't. But with Harry, it does! In fact, it's so real, it's not only real to Harry, it's real to all of us."
-Norman

"We are not alone. We are definitely...not alone."
"We come in peace. Heh, I always wanted to say that." -Ted

"We've got two ingredients here: Beth and this underwater environment. Put 'em together, you got yourself one big-ass bomb." -Harry
(Alright, that might be one of the better lines honestly)

I have no issue with those except the "come in peace" one. It felt so silly and out of character, or maybe that facet of his character was edited out.

I love "use your words". I say that to people speaking incoherently, usually drunk people.

I honestly don't understand the zen ball one. What does that mean? I'm clearly missing something.

It's something to help focus and give confidence to the catcher (real or metaphoric one). The ball wants to be caught. All you have to do is reach out and take it.

It takes the action away from the (over)active mind, and gives it to the subconscious mind, which is more efficient in carrying it out. Think of this example. When you are driving a car consciously, thinking of every move you have to make, you are more apt to make mistakes than when you are on automatic pilot.

Though I think it only works after you actually learn to drive. :)
