It wasn't just you. I've said it here before, but if that was the Abraham-approved version of him, I'd hate to imagine what he was really like.

I read at the time of her death that her father opposed the fact that Selena was giving a blood transfusion to try and save her....Abraham told the doctor, "no, Selena wouldn't want that." I can't believe Selena would oppose a blood transfusion over life, but that's what they believe. It didn't help, the bullet hit a main artery.

That never happened. I mean, yes, Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in blood transfusions, but one person can't deny someone else medical attention. Selena would have needed to be wearing a bracelet that specifically stated her wishes (if indeed that's what she believed), then the doctors would've had to respect them, but she wasn't wearing such a thing, so that point is moot.
Furthermore, by the time Abraham and the family were summoned to the ER, they had already lost her. The paramedics who arrived at the scene said they had trouble locating a vein to insert the needle because she had lost so much blood that her veins collapsed. Then when they cut open her chest, she had completely bled out. The only way Selena would possibly have been saved is if she had received medical attention from the moment she was shot.

Like by the way how he behaved in this movie, like even how he was shown on he disapproved of Selena's and Chris relationship. You know with movies like this then can make include fictional stuff on something that is supposed to be based on a true story. But if I am remembering correctly that it was reported that he really did theaterned to disband the band if Selena and Chris contuined seeing each other, and he found out. Who knows if it would be true if he would have done what he said he was done, and well as far as Maracella being a Jehovah's Witness, I don't know if the children grew up that way or not. I mean you only see some of the events that happened between 1981 and 1989, when they flash forward to where you see Selena being played by Jennifer Lopez.
